Joe Flynn is Associate Vice President of HCA Healthcare’s Community Engagement group and President of the HCA Hope Fund, a public charity benefitting HCA employees in need.  HCA is a Fortune 100 company with more than $40 billion in revenue. It is the nation’s leading provider of healthcare services that includes about 179 hospitals and 120 freestanding surgery centers in 20 states and England and employing approximately 250,000 people.

A 13-year veteran of HCA, Joe leads a team that raises nearly $12 million annually for more than 2,000 charities.  Under Joe’s leadership, revenue for the Hope Fund has grown by 104% and they have grown their donor base by 46%.  The fund has now served over 30,000 employees with more than $43 million in assistance.

Joe represents HCA on the Mayor’s Healthy Nashville Leadership Council.  He is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

He received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and an MBA degree from Belmont’s Massey School of Business.  He has over eighteen years of experience in working with nonprofit boards, nonprofit development, strategic planning, and staff leadership.

His personal community engagement includes serving on the Board for Rooftop Foundation and volunteerism with Room in the Inn, Second Harvest and Open Table Nashville.

Joe resides in Nashville with his wife and three children.
