Amy Lucia is a marketing executive and change agent with an 18-year track record of exceptional results in the Fortune 100 and nonprofit sectors. She believes that powerful messages can change the world for the better, and has spent her remarkable career driving breakthroughs that prove this is possible.
During her 11-year leadership tenure at Microsoft, Amy established best practices that evolved into global functions, grew businesses to record-breaking results, excelled in the top 5% of managers, won more than 20 awards—including two-time achievement of the highest award category available to employees worldwide. She was also a participant in the company’s exclusive, high-potential program reserved for the top 4% of leaders at Microsoft. In her last marketing leadership role, Amy led an organization responsible for recruiting, enabling and activating a ~300k partner ecosystem while generating over $500M annual revenue for the U.S. subsidiary.
Answering a call to “seek justice”, Amy transitioned in 2009 to Vice President of Global Communications for International Justice Mission (IJM), a nonprofit that fights slavery, sex trafficking and other violence against the poor. At IJM, she built the first cohesive brand, marketing and PR function; contributing to 68% revenue and 600% constituent growth, record-setting PR outcomes and the largest ever corporate grant to fight slavery from Google. Under her leadership, the organization expanded its presence to major forums, including the World Economic Forum, Clinton Global Initiative, and more. As Chief Marketing Officer and SVP for global poverty alleviation nonprofit World Relief, she positioned the organization for 125% growth in private revenue and program growth that enabled millions in the developing world to be served.
Amy’s expertise has been leveraged to build marketing centers of excellence, turn around businesses, and bring multiple best-selling books and a major motion picture to market. She presently leads at Blackbaud (NASDAQ: BLKB), the world’s leading cloud software company powering social good, as Vice President of Corporate Brand & Communication.
A cause-minded philanthropist, Amy aspires to be a change agent for a better world both in an outside of work. She regularly volunteers with and advises national and global nonprofit organizations, and also serves as a publicist for select global influencers. Amy is part of the Fortune Most Powerful Women network, and served as one of 21 American executive mentors as part of the 2017 Fortune/State Department Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership. She is currently writing a book, is a Forbes contributor and is an active member of the Forbes Communications Council. She resides in Charleston, South Carolina.
